Structure, Installation, Debugging, and Operation

I. Structure

This type of oil press  consists of automatic control, heating press, adjustment, transmission and vacuum oil filter.

1. The automatic control parts consist of an air switch, AC contactors, a temperature controller, and the circuit automatic safety devices.

2. The heating press parts consist of a heater, press bolts, press bars and body assembly components.

3. The transmission parts consist of main beam, gearbox, pulleys and motors.

4. The adjustment parts consist of adjusting screw, adjusting nut, handle and locknut.

5. The vacuum oil filtering parts consist of vacuum pump and oil filter tubing.

II. Installation

1. When the oil press is installed, leave enough space around for the staff to operate.

2. First, the machine is placed horizontally in a stable position, then the oil filter barrel is adjusted to a horizontal state as well, and then two air suction tubes led out from the air reservoir are mounted on sealing rings, and respectively connected to the exhaust connection of two filter drums. On the joint, tighten with a wrench and leakage is not allowed to happen.

3. After installation, the machine must be operated at a distance of 3-5meters from it with a 0.5-1 meter underground earth wire.

III. Debugging 

1. Before use, read the manual carefully first to familiarize with the machine’s performance and operation.

2. Before starting the machine, a full inspection should be performed. The fasteners shall not be loosened; the handles shall be rotated flexibly; and  all running parts shall be normal and no abnormal noises shall be found when the pulleys rotated by hand.Then add the No. 20 machine oil to the gear box till  the oil level reaches the center of the pinion shaft below the gear box.

3. Loosen the locknut and turn the adjusting screw counterclockwise to make the cone face of the press bolt abut against the cone surface of the oilcake outlet, then turn the adjusting screw 3-4 turns clockwise so as to leave a space of 2-3mm between the oilcake head and the oilcake outlet. Then tighten the locknut before turning the machine on.

4. Open the electricity box door and connect the three live wires of the power supply line to terminals L1, L2, L3 respectively. The neutral wire is connected to terminal N and the power air switch is turned on (to the position of the joint). Then the machine power is on.

5. Depending on the oil material, adjust the temperature meter (3) to press required temperature 120-200 °C. Twist the main heating switch (6) to heat the machine; then on the thermograph the green light is on and the red light is off and when the temperature rises to the set temperature, the red light is on and the green light is off. The temperature of the machine is automatically controlled and maintained at the set temperature of 120-200°C. When the temperature in winter is low, turn on the heating switch (5) to heat the oil receiver so as to facilitate the flow of oil.

6. Press the main unit’s forward rotation button (7), the main unit starts running, and the screw shaft should be rotated counterclockwise. If the rotation direction is incorrect, adjust the power input joint.

7. After the new oil press is installed, it could start working. The method is to slowly feed the pressed oilcakes from the hopper and repeatedly press them to make the barrel screw smooth and the oilcake formed smoothly.

Notes: Do not pour the oil material directly into the hopper at the beginning of grinding and pressing, and it is advisable to use hand-feeding to prevent the screw shaft from jamming. If the feeding is too fast, abnormal sound occurs in the barrel or the squeezing screw shaft get stuck, stop immediately. Remove the obstruction, reassemble and start again. Do not drag it forcefully or pour the oil material reversely.

IV. Operation

1. Pretreatment of oil: Before oil press, the oil material should be dried and winnowed so that its moisture content is no more than 12% and its impurity is no more than 0.5%. Special attention should be paid to the fact that many users neglects the essential pretreatment process of oil concentrating and think that it is dispensable without knowing that the dust of unpreferable oil material that were not selected or poor selected would block the channel for oiling. Dinas will accelerate the wear of parts, which not only affect the normal operation of the oil press, but also greatly shorten the service life of the squeezing screw, oil press bar, and oilcake outlet. If the oil material is mixed with a hard object such as a block of metal, it will immediately damage the squeezing screw. Therefore, great attention should be paid to oil material concentrating, which may bring you twice the result with half the effort.

2. Fry seeds. Although this machine is suitable for cold pressing, the productivity and output of hot pressing are higher than that of cold pressing. When the rapeseed is roasted, first fry with big fire till the rapeseed is hot and start bursting with noise. Then switch to a small fire and fry the rapeseed till it cracks. Do not add water during the frying process. When pressed, the temperature of rapeseed should be 120-130°C, and the moisture should be about 1.5%.

3. When the oil pressing is started normally, the feed must be kept evenly, the operation smooth and steady, the sound rhythmic, and the oilcake is formed with the thickness normally controlled at 1-2 mm smoothly in the shape of broken tiles, rough inside and smooth outside, brownish red, and the oil channel unblocked. The low-pressure section is basically slag-free, and the high-pressure section has a small amount of oil residue. Hot oilcakes must be spread out in time to avoid spontaneous combustion.

4. When the pressed oil flows into the filter drum, seal the filter cloth tightly, press the vacuum pump button 11 to start the pump, then the air inside the filter drum is drawn out, the negative pressure formed in the drum, and the oil above the filter cloth naturally flows into the oil filter tank, and the oil sludge is isolated on the filter cloth. After the pressing is completed and the oil on the filter cloth is drained, stop the vacuum pump, and open the exhaust valves 3, 4 on the filter drum. Scraped off with a scraper the dry residue formed on the oil filter cloth, then the pure, impurity-free oil is discharged from the bottom valve of the filter oil drum.

5. Before stopping the machine, stop the feeding first. Meanwhile, adjust the gap between the oilcake end and the oilcake outlet, and then put in a small amount of oilcake crumbs until the rest of the oil material in the barrel is drained and no oilcake comes out from the oilcake outlet. Then press the stop butten on the main unit. After stopping, turn the adjusting screw clockwise 1-3 laps and then disconnect the power supply 8.
